![]() Rating: 1/5 The only reason I'm not giving this pedal a 0 rating is because of its price. I knew it was going to be a terrible pedal before I bought it, but as I wanted to mess around with wah and couldn't afford a "real" one, I picked this up for $20. First of all, the "volume" part of it works by muffling the treble off the normal volume and by pushing down the pedal further you can return it to regular volume, or all the way up, which is like a treble massacre of the bass and mids. However, the wah does work and sound great...when it's working. Yes, the wah will periodically go on lunch break with no sign of when it's getting back, leaving you with only the sad excuse for the volume pedal described earlier. When the wah does go out, kicking or stomping on it hard a few times might get it to come back, but it's really hit or miss. I should also add that it's really only usable on batteries despite the fact that it can be used through a 9VDC adapter because plugging it in adds major hissing to the already terrible sound. It's made out of plastic, but I must say it holds up pretty well as it's withstood all my beatings when the wah takes a break. As an added kick, the front plate that labels the parts falls off due to bad gluing. All in all, only buy this if you're extremely poor and have no chance of getting the money to get a real wah pedal. Even so, you should still try for a real wah pedal on your Christmas list before resorting to this. |
