Anyway, I liked the song, it was catchy. The vocals were a bit loud, and subsequently the guitar was slightly hard to hear. The singer sounded a bit out of breath at some points, and the ending sounded weird because usually those kind of points are during a fade out (where a singer breaks down the chorus lyrics to fit the verse/outro riffs) so it was strange to hear them at full volume. Overall though, pretty good song. Good luck with the band and make sure to post when you put more songs up.

But yeah, more songs up in the week, I just have to mix them. We are redoing the vox for that song and changing a few of the levels also this week. I'll keep you all updated

You guys are really good, you sound really tight musically. The only thing I didn't like about the songs is how the vocals faded in and out, but usually they were really low in the mix, too low to make out the lyrics or anything. Other than that, I think you could be the first person on MT to become famous Did you record the songs in a studio or at home?

But hes getting more comfortable everyday Haha. I don't know about being famous... but I appreciate you saying that Well, it was all recorded in my room... sounds semi-professional though, doesn't it?

It's in a soundproof room so there's no distractions and the levels can be more easily adjust to keep 'em at around the same volume. But he's a good singer though.

Which meant most of the time he couldn't tell if he was too close or too far (while trying to avoid pops). So... yeah. I have one now xD

Posts: 1,306 Group: Members Member #3 Joined: June 28, 2006	listening now... reflections in pavement: likin the riffs, reminds me of some song but i can't think of what it is, the drums sound like they'd be pretty damn sweet if you could hear them a little better, overall recording quality and mixing isn't bad at all, drums just need to be miked better, singer needs to embrace his role, he sounds like he's afraid to let go and really belt it, but he shouldn't be, sounds like he's probably pretty good and would certainly only get better if he would let go, i think the song that the beginning was reminding me of is long way down by the goo goo dolls say nothing at all: beginning sounds really thin texturally, so far i don't like this one as well as reflections in pavement, everything else just kicked in and it's rockin now, good stuff, singer has that growl or whatever thing down pretty well, drums are solid again with some tight rolls, haven't heard anything complicated on the bass but it's always in perfect time so that's great, digging the lead guitar work in this one also imperfections: mixing on this one isn't as good, singer really has to gain some serious confidence, i think it's the mixing but everything sounds kinda sloppy and jumbled on this track, singer needs to be careful about getting flat hands off my tricks: starts off really catchy, interesting offbeats from the drummer, that high pitch lead guitar thing is cool but i don't know that it necessarily fits in, would like to hear more lead guitar on this track actually, hahaha the lyrics are great, i think this could be a pretty cool track with some work acoustico: hey acoustic cool, hitting some dissonant notes on those barre chords, work on those barre chords and the timing, sounds stilty or something, timing on the palm mutes seems slightly off, likin the vocals on this one, i like the progression and there you have it. i hope i wasn't too harsh or anything. i think you guys are good. the criticism i gave was definitely meant to be constructive! keep recording and posting new stuff!
