What would you suggest for a good intro album to them? I almost picked up 2112 as it was on sale on Amazon and I had a gift certificate, but I didn't know enough about them to pick it up. |

Moving Pictures is easily their best starting point (and best thing they ever did), move on to Permanent Waves after that. Even 2112, A Farewell To Kings, and then Hemispheres. That's all the Rush essentials right there. Amazing band, I love them a whole lot. All three members are masters at what they do. |

LOL WUT?
|
I went through a Rush phase a while ago, buying two albums, including Snakes & Arrows, but I grew bored of them very quickly. The only songs I can listen to by Rush anymore are Time Stand Still and Far Cry. Listening to Rush too much makes me want to strangle Geddy Lee. |

His voice can get a bit annoying. I believe it was someone on UG who said "Geddy Lee is the only person who can play bass like a black man and sing like a white woman".

I quite like Rush. Geddy Lee was one of my earliest bass influences. Favourite songs: YYZ, Natural Science, Tom Sawyer. |
