Flogging Molly, got their name because they performed a gig at a place called "Molly Malone's" and they flogged it. Of their CDs I have Withing a Mile of Home and Whiskey on a Sunday. Their best song (that I've heard) I think has to be "What's Left of the Flag". They came down to Florida a few months ago but I wasn't able to organize any plans to go see them
. I love how they only play at fairly small venues, though, gives more of a personal, small, unknown band feel. Who else here listens to Flogging Molly?

Kicked massive ass. Just took 'em too long to come on. They had two warmup acts and didn't get on 'til 9:30 or 10 when the show started at 8. But after that, it was awesome. Every song was dedicated to someone or something for example: Chorus of Factory Girls to King's mum, Selfish man to the drummers uncle who lives in Florida and ave them a bunch of meatball subs. Dave was dancing around the stage, Bridget sang Lucinda Williams's part in Factory Girls. Then for the encore, Dave came back and started an acoustic version of Black Friday Rule and about halfway through the rest of the band jumped on stage and finished the rest of the song. |

I thought we were discussing "American Celtic", but you are right, I'll take the Pogues before any of them too. I love the Pogues. This is still my favourite bit on all of youtube :http://ie.youtube.com/watch?v=SirutCHZ-QI I'll look up Against Me, thanks. |

As long as you only look up their "Crime As Forgiven By..." and "Reinventing Axl Rose" era stuff, anything after that is baaaaad. |

Any song off of the Crime As Forgiven By... EP. Two guys, a guitar, and a bucket or some kind of drum device. Totally DIY. Saying what should be said, not one minute wasted. Its what punx is all about. I Still Love You Julie What We Worked For Ya'll Don't Want to Step to Dis Walking Is Still Honest Impact Burn Also: Reinventing Axl Rose Baby, I'm an Anarchist!
