We'll decide in a couple weeks whether we want to keep it. What we don't want is for it to turn into a popularity contest or a thing you just lather on your friends. We want it to be a rating of how helpful, contributive, or informative someone is. So, for example, you wouldn't give anyone rep for, say, being "a cool guy" (wonder who that could have been? ). But you would for critting one of your recordings or pieces in the Writer's Corner, or for recommending you a good band, or for writing an insightful review. If we see too many reps being given for bullshit reasons, we're going to get rid of the system, so be mature, folks. Anyway, this thread is for discussing how the system is working on the forum and helping us decide whether or not it should be kept. Let us know your thoughts over the next couple of weeks.
