These rules apply to the entire Music-Talk forum. Though it doesn't happen often, specific forum rules override this.
You will be WARNED if you:
- Flame, bash, or attack anything (be it another user, a band, a brand, etc.). Flaming is defined as any type of harsh insult or words meant to hurt and/or provoke another user. We don't mind you stating your opinions, just do so in a civil, calm matter. This is especially helpful in controversial topics as it allows everyone to respect others' opinions without feeling offended or forced to agree with them.
- Spam in any way, shape or form. Spam includes, but is not limited to: making irrelevant or unnecessary posts, purposely posting something to get on others' nerves, typing in 1337, constantly complaining, refusing to drop an issue, advertising, encouraging or promoting things that are illegal, or making any post that does not positively contribute to the topic at hand.
- Double post. The "Edit" button has a very nice purpose, and it's to prevent double posting. There is an exception to this rule, however. If you happen to be the last one to post in a thread that hasn't been posted in in at least 3 days and wish to contribute new information, you may make another post.
- Use excessive profanity. There are ways to get your point across without swearing; however, we realize it's a normal aspect of life so doing so now and then is okay. However, realize that using profanity in the wrong way may make your post come across as a flame.
- Post derogatory comments. This includes anything that is meant to insult someone because of their race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, age, nationality, "group", etc.
- Hotlink an image. Please host all images you include on the site on a website like Photobucket or ImageShack. If you are found hotlinking, a moderator will PM you and give you 48 hours to fix it, or you will be warned and the image will be removed.
You will be BANNED if you:
- Receive three warnings. We're on a three-strikes system. If you commit any of the above offenses three times, you'll be banned; no ifs, ands or buts. (Read FAQ for ban lengths)
- Post pornographic, vulgar, or gory media. If it shows death, blood, sex, etc. do not post it. If you're not sure whether it can be posted, then it probably shouldn't be.
- Intentionally spam the site. This is an obvious one. If you join to intentionally spam, advertise, etc., including through PM and email, you'll be banned permanently.
- Make more than one account. If you have a problem with an account and can't get into it, try resetting your password from the link on the log in screen. If that doesn't solve anything, e-mail the site at
with a detailed explanation of your problem.
The staff reserves the right to act upon situations not expressed here as they feel is appropriate. Additionally, all content posted must comply with the ZetaBoards Terms of Service.
Now you've read the rules, ignorance of the law is no excuse. For a more detailed look at the banning system as well as many other things that will keep you out of trouble, make sure you also read the Forum FAQ. If you have any further questions, do not hesitate to ask here or to PM a staff member.
Enjoy your time on Music-Talk.
